I am quite sure that I can identify William Walter Gilmour - but I have been unable to find his father William George Gilmour after 1861 census. If you could give me more details of the censuses you have & any other informatiom so I can be sure we're talking about the same family then I can fill in quite a bit for you.

What is your connection to the Gilmours? William Walter Gilmour is my 1st cousin 2x removed.
