Hi, Kay
The MI has what is written on the cemetery stone--death date, age.

The Burial Register is what is written in the local parish register regarding the burial--some have addresses, most have age, all have date of burial. Once in a while there will be an extra tidbit such as occupation, maiden name of the woman

As you have seen already, the MI and the burial reg don't always agree--usually transcription errors. Sometimes can figure which is correct if person left a will.

Malew is a huge parish--the burial register is broken into alphabetical groupings so make sure you get the book(s) you need.
There are several separate burial yards in Malew.

I tried to access the publications list on the IOMFHS site but it seems to not work--all I get is the area reps.
