The reason for having more than one spouse against an entry on Brian Lawson's marriage index is given on the initial page (before choosing the surname), under "...PLEASE read the notes below before proceeding".

"Possible Spouses
Each page of a Register Book can record the details of two marriages. The Official Indices give only the volume name and page number so it is not always possible to completely identify a marriage and in this case all possible partners are shown."

Many second possibilities have been removed when evidence of the correct spouse was found, and I suggest you send your information to John Morrison so that he can correct the two entries.
