QUIRK FAMILY - BALLAQUANE, PEEL

I understand that for a period covering the first half of 1851, Robert QUIRK, b.1819 Farmer, Ballaquane is listed in a Peel Directory.
Robert, my g-grandfather had returned to the IOM with his wife Mary Allgood RADCLIFFE m.1843 following business problems in Liverpool, but he again failed in his efforts to produce substantial quantities of corn and this returned him again to further court proceedings and bankruptcy.
The result of this period in his life was the apparent desertion of his wife Mary Allgood and their children James Radcliffe, William Augustus, Helena Sarah and Robert Frederick and his subsequent re-emergence in Australia where he re-married in 1856.
I would greatly appreciate any knowledge of this family and period in Peel. The name Ballaquane (alone) was reported in Liverpool press when children were born as their home ... would this have likely been Ballaquane Farm ?
Robert was the son of William QUIRK b.1769 and Jane ELLISON b.1781 and m. 1810 in St John's Liverpool.
All clues and comments most welcome especially re "Life in Peel, 1850/51".
