Manx Genealogy

Graham/Clague/Mylechreest/Craine/Curran

Hello everyone

Here is some of the research I have done. I hope it might help others researching the same names. Or perhaps other researchers may be able to expand on them.

My ancestor William Graham (c1799 from Cumberland) married Elinor Clague (c1806 from IOM). They married at Malew on 12 August 1827.

The marriage between William and Elinor Graham was witnessed by a Robert Gell and a Robert Mylechreest. I know nothing about those witnesses.

Elinor Clague was the daughter of Charles Clague (c1772) and Eleanor Mylechreest (c1776) both from IOM.

Charles and Eleanor Clague were married at Malew on 18 November 1797. Their children were named William (c1799), Esther, Jane (c1802), Elinor, Margaret and Catherine.

Jane Clague (c1802 from Braddan IOM) married John Craine (c1794). Their children were named Mary(c1821), Ann, William and Thomas.

Mary Craine (c1821) married Unknown Curran and had a daughter Catherine (c1841).

Best wishes

David
