I've seen this several times (eldest son missing) when there is land - however small - to be inherited automatically by the eldest son under Manx law.

"Creetch" was one of Brian's names of interest, and information about Isabel will almost certainly be in his personal files which have been removed from the FHS website (because of a living person entry - which surely can be removed).
