Re: Thomas Corkish 1858 (Lawson 6800)

Hi Gillian
Thomas Corkish 1858 is your great grandfather, he married Rebecca Casement. They lived Andreas end of the Glascoe Road. Their son, your grandfather, also Thomas was married to Elsie May nee Faragher. He had an older sister Annie, two younger sisters Winnie and Katy and a younger brother Richard (Dick). His mother Rebecca also lived on the Glascoe Road (remember the old sweet shop?) at Ballacorey until she died in 1939. Thomas jnr did fight in the first world war but as he also returned to the Glascoe Road at Kays Cottage it's not likely that he was an imposter who could fool so many close relatives. There was some confusion about his fathers name (see earlier posts) as when his mother married Thomas Senior took the name Daugherty for a while. Best wishes
