I think the name is meant to be Marshallsay.

Joseph Marshallsay married Naome Bragge in Sussex 1819. He was a Tide Surveyor so travelled. You can follow his journey through the children in IGI, Sussex, Suffolk, Liverpool, Isle of Man.

He married Grace Kneale 1843, she is the one in the census, before moving back to Liverpool.
