I've found a tree on Ancestry which, if it's accurate, shows that Alma T Stowell was a granddaughter of Thomas Stowell and Mary Ann Cowin. Thomas Stowell b1798 was a surgeon, and his father was Rev Joseph Hugh Stowell b 1768.
