Thomas CASHIN, son of William CASHIN (1763?-1819) and Ann CREER (1771?-1846), was born in 1798 in Santon, Isle of Man. He was christened on 22 April 1798 in Patrick, Isle of Man. He was a Fisherman and seasonal Agricultural worker.. He married Margaret SAYLE on 21 October 1826 in Patrick. They had one son, William, who died aged 1 month. Margaret died in 1828. He married Mary KILLEY on 16 July 1831 in Patrick. When their fiorst son died, he moved his family to the cottage on Nairbyl Beach and all the subsequent children lived. Their lives are described in Willian C's introduction to his book - see Manx Notebook. He died on 19 April 1874 in Peel, Isle of Man. He was buried on 21 April 1874 in Patrick.

Margaret SAYLE died in October 1828 in Patrick. She was buried on 14 October 1828 in Patrick. She and Thomas CASHIN had the following children:

Mary KILLEY, daughter of John KILLEY (chr.1772) and Mary CALLOW ( - ), was born in 1812 in Santon. She was christened on 27 March 1812 in Santon. She was aged 83 years, when she died, in February 1896, according to the Memorial Gravestone in Peel Cemetery . She was buried on 5 February 1896 in German Parish Church. She and Thomas CASHIN had the following children:
