Re: Nathaniel Caine 1810-1877
In Response To: Re: Nathaniel Caine 1810-1877 ()

Hello - I might have an answer to your query.
I have a Thomas Cain (e) of Liverpool a Merchant Tailor and Draper of Lord St. 1755-1814
He married:
1) Sarah Tyson 1780 Liverpool
2) Ann Sproston 1798 Chester
Children of the latter:
Mary Ann 1799
Frances 1802
William Sproston 1803
John 1807
Mary 1812
Catherine 1810
In his Will Thomas Cain mentions his brother
William Cain of Isle of Man ( he left him £10)
I also have details of Accounts Ackerley v. Cain
I think the above refers to when his will was
challenged. amongst others the name of Nathan Cain was listed as a Defendant.
I have most/all of the baptisms of the children of Thomas, but not of a Nathan/Nathaniel.
I also have a Robert Cain who married
Jane Gifford Allen in Liverpool 1797 ( he would be born c.1772) He may be a brother of Thomas. (1755)
Thomas left a fair amount of money and property in Liverpool.
I hope this helps.
Joan, Liverpool
