I went back to the 1861 census and found that Mary Eleanor Hanrahan was 8 months old and parents were John and Elizabeth (not Matthew). The mystery deepens!
Donna also checked the MIs and found nothing in Onchan, Bradden or Douglas.
Any suggestions - would there have been any funeral notice? would contacting the local funeral directors be of any help?
