KILLIP / Ann Jane CORKILL Maughold

Maughold records:

Marriage 27 Jan 1855:
John CORKILL Full age Widower Farmer Ballachrink, [father] Peter Corkill, Farmer, and
Ann CORKILL Full age Spinster Ballagilley, [father] William Corkill, Labourer.

Ann Jane [daughter of] John Corkill & Ann Corkill bapt Parish Church 13 Jan 1856.

John's previous marriage was to Margt CORLETT (Peter bapt Parish Church 17 Apr 1846).

Maughold 1861 census Ballajorey:
John CORKILL Head 50 b. Maughold
Ann CORKILL Wife 36 Maughold
Peter CORKILL Son 15 Maughold
Ann CORKILL Daughter 12 Maughold
Elinor CORKILL Daughter 3 Maughold
James CORKILL Son 1 Maughold

Ann daur of William Corkill & Jane Callow bapt Maughold Parish Church 5 Mar 1826.

I think this could be Ann Jane Corkill in the 1861 census, living with her grandmother Jane [who appeared with the Killip family in 1881: Jane CORKELL Grandmother W Female 83 Maughold, Annuitant. Unless she was Thomas's grandmother?]

Maughold 1861 census, Ballagilley:
William CORKILL Head MAR 60 Farmer of 40 acres Maughold
Jane CORKILL Wife MAR 60 Maughold
Jane CALLOW Boarder 10 Scholar Maughold
Mary Ann DAVIES Boarder 10 Scholar Lezayre
Ann Jane CORKILL Boarder 5 Maughold
Daniel CORKILL Servant 14 Servant Maughold

It seems odd that John and Ann would name a second daughter Ann Jane when John already had a daughter Ann with his first wife.

John Corkill looks like the son of Peter Corkill & Elinor Corkill bapt Maughold Parish Church 12 Aug 1810 who married 6 Jan 1798.
