The index gives "POB" place of birth and "NOK" next of kin. e.g. Corkill William : SERN 67 : POB Manghold England : POE Casula NSW : NOK B Corkill James ["POE" place of enlistment].
There are 38 service pages scanned for William Corkill, with the first page giving his birthplace as Maughold, Isle of Man, his age as 43 2/12 (on 10 . 1 . 1916), occupation seaman, his next of kin as brother Mr James Corkill of Ballamanagh, Lonan, Isle of Man. Was 12 1/2 years in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Died of wounds in France on 6 Feb.1917.
The CWGC website gives his parents as John & Catherine Corkill, IOM, and his age as 49.
This looks like William Corkill bapt Maughold 10 Nov.1867 son of John CORKILL & Kate COWELL, and who took a few years off his age to be accepted for enlistment. (Brother James bapt 27 Mar 1870.)

John William Corkhill joined up in Sydney on 11 Oct.1915 aged 26 yrs, 6 months, a farmer. Next of kin his father Robert Corkhill of Ballagaughyn? St Johns, IOM. He was promoted to Sgt in 1918, and allowed leave with pay for 3 months in 1919 to go to Ballagarraghyn? St Johns, I of M, before returning to Australia.
