My name is Helen and I am researching the Comish family.
This could be a long shot,but here is what I have.
My Great Grandfather's name was Walter Henry Comish,born in Ramsey,I.O.M 2 Feb 1885. I looked on the index of registered births and a fathers name is not given. However his mothers name,Selina Emily Comish was listed.I did research the birth index for her and didn't find anything with the spelling of Comish.So I tried and alternate spelling of Camaish.I found a Selina May Camaish in the birth index and father(Charles Camaish) and mother (Selina Emily Kelly) listed.Then I came across your posting on Ceaser Kelly and wondered if there is a connection.
Selina Emily doesn't seem to be a common name(I could be wrong) so I have to wonder if possibly they were the same person?
My Gr-g was born in 1885 with the father's name not given,so it looks like he was illegitimate.And with your information Selina left Charles in 1881.....
Walter Henry immigrated to the United Stated around 1905-06.
