Hi! In the following link you will find several translations of the Old Testament and will see Meza, Mizzah and some other variants. I am not sure if Spanish Meza (Mesa) surname has relation to Mizzah (or Mesha), but I believe that Mizzah is the Hebrew word for the Latin Vulgate Meza.

I am doing a search about genealogical names of Old Testament. Every ancient name of Chronicles that I have seen at now I have found it as a contemporary surname: Meza is one of them. So I believe that it is possible that exists some conection between Meza/Mizzah, in spite of Spanish dicctionaries usually relation Meza only to old Christian Spanish nobility from Toledo or País Vasco, never to people of the Old Testament neither to some hebrew root.

Thanks,

Marcela.
