Mary Ann Christian/ HARRISON/ RADCLIFFE/ & others
In Response To: Mary Ann Christian ()

Hi Donna,

Mary Ann was part of the complicated family of Ann(e) Radcliffe of Andreas, and the credit goes to Jane Marshall for picking up where she fitted in.
Several other people also helped put this Harrison family together.

Ann Radcliffe bapt Andreas 15 Dec 1765, dau of John RADCLIFFE 1733-1802 & Joney SAYLE 1733-1771, married John HARRISON/KINRY 19 Feb.1789 Andreas.

Ann Radcliffe was one of the many descendants of John d.1701 of Crot-e-Lough Andreas (descendant of Gilbert etc.) who Constance Radcliffe left off her trees because John had died young, his wife remarried, and died as Margaret KNEAL. The early Radcliffe researchers didn't connect her descendants to John d.1701, although they were mentioned here and there, usually attached to the wrong families who would have been their cousins.

Ann(e) RADCLIFFE & John HARRISON/KINRY married 19 Feb.1789 Andreas. The first two of their 10 children were bapt 'KINRY', and the rest 'HARRISON'. You probably know that the name evolved from Kinry, Henry, Mac Henry, or Henry's son, to Harry's son.
There were numerous marriages between Kinry and Andreas Radcliffes.

Ann's husband John KINRY was bapt 2 Jan.1763 Andreas, son of Ewan Kinry & Joney Radcliffe. Joney bapt 28 Sep 1720 dau of Thomas Ratcliffe (Y Vair), married Ewan KINRY 28 Feb.1746 Andreas. Thomas Y Vayr was another descendant of John Radcliffe d.1701.

(I told you it was complicated!)
