Interesting you should say this - Thomas Cubbin I believe considered himself "of Liverpool" as well as the Isle of Man, and about 1854 married Mary Ann Wagstaff of Liverpool. He was captain of vessels out of Liverpool/Birkenhead.

I believe there were other Cubbin families of Liverpool and born there but not necessarily related (that I can figure).
