Re: Tony Blair
In Response To: Tony Blair ()

Must admit I was sent a copy of the article a couple of years ago but didn't think it had any real Manx connections - the Daily Mail (a far right wing tabloid - supported the Fascists pre WW2 and hasn't changed much since) did it to pull a dirty on Tony Blair. Mind you Paul Bridson got suspiciously rich - starting off as a simple soldier he amassed considerable wealth - possibly his trusted position as collector of customs for Douglas may just have put him in the way of temptation.

To Brian - you can copyright (note the word 'right' - it actually has nothing to do with writing but is a licence to control the publication of identical or near identical copies of the text) the specific words you use in your tree but AFAIK you cannot copyright the information contained - the Mail actually didn't cotton onto the source of the Bridson money.

The Bridson connection to the Ridgeways is on my site as is the basic onfo re the early Cosnahan tree.
