Re: GELLING family
In Response To: Re: GELLING family ()

Can anyone shed some light on a Thelma Irene Gelling, recorded death in New Zealand as 1895 record number 3424. Note: I have not requested a copy of the Death certificate yet, but am interested if there is a birth or marriage certificate for anyone by that name.

I have verbally been given by my Aunt Luna Wiggs nee Gelling, daughter of Frank Murray Gelling whose parents were James Mansfield Gelling and his wife Mary Anne, Mary Anne was apparently of Irish descent and from Dublin??
Siblings of Frank Murray were as follows:

Douglas, Jeff or Geoff?,William who was a School headmaster around Mt Roskill in Auckland, New Zealand. Frank Murray was the youngest child and they had one sister called Martha Selina who never married and worked very closely with an order of nuns in Howick, New Zealand.

Charles?? Paul?? Gelling was a brother of James Mansfield Gelling and was a banker who settled in South Africa, visited New Zealand after WWII with his wife but had no children, a cousin of my Aunt Luna called Catherine Gelling lived in Remuera
