I'm interested in finding out anything and everything concerning Downwards in IOM. My GG Grandfather (George William Downward) was born in the IOM in 1878 and married Elizabeth Hudson Cowley in 1878. They immigrated to South Africa between 1885-1888. Elizabeth had siblings that also immigrated to South Africa around the same time.
