The original concept of the IoM FHS board (ie this one) was for Society business discussion with the Manx Genealogy B/B being the main forum - as it turns out both boards serve the same ends, and are viewed probably by the same people. I have suggested several times that they be merged into a single genealogy board with the IoM FHS becoming a members only forum.

I'm afraid the interest in computer based genealogy is not that strong amongst the committee - it is difficult at times to find volunteers to staff the Peel library, the amount of spam, viruses etc floating around the internet does not help in getting those uninterested in computers involved in fielding email enquiries.
