Re: John Looney & wife ??? LLewellyn

I have found that the LDS church members' multiple additions to the IGI [& on RootsWeb etc.] are usually copied from a previous member's entry. However the first member had often based his/her information on solid information from a will, or from a family bible, or from a M.I., etc. It could be worth looking at that first member's research which will have been put on film by the LDS, to see whether sources are given.

That Maughold marriage could be a lead: John Looney & Margery Woods on 16 Apr 1666.
If they were Quakers as Frances suggests, there may be no baptisms to find for them. Quakers didn't believe in baptism, but recorded births in their own records.

I think that will would be well worth ordering, for Jon LOONEY who was buried in Maughold on May 21 1728. John LOONEY 1728-1 Maughold, Epis will, LDS film no. 0106372.
- It may solve the mystery.
