I have recently found out the my mother's family came from IOM. Their names were Thomas and Esther (Gelling or Gellon) Craine, ancestoral home was in Douglas. They were reported in the 1850 Ohio census so probably they came in the 1830's or 1840's because their children were born here in the states. We have information that he or his father (Really do not know which) was a master navigator of the sea . I would like to know more about them if possible. I plan to attend the NAMA meeting in Chicago IL USA in August but I'd Like to know a little more before I go. Thank You. Jan Goolsby
