Haven't been idle since last contact - checked out monumental inscrip's to find in Old Maugh. churchyard that JAMES ARTHUR Corkill of Dale St Ramsey d.Jan 18th 1941 aged 69 yrs and Margaret Ann wife of above d. April 2nd 1942 aged 70 yrs WERE our "Arthur" & Margaret. I can now fill in the blanks with the details of your posting. Many thanks.........
Read about Ballachrink weavers and Corkills of Ballagorry in "History of Kirk Maughold" to find confirmation of your John Corkill of 1743. If I have read correctly John & Jane had 12 children (4 sons reaching 'manhood').
