there is I found a brief note p206 of Constance Radcliffe's book 'shining by sea' - joseph mawby was a retired army officer from Rutland who had been living in Ramsey prior to opening of Bank of Mona - she refers to 1846 slaters directory which records him as IoM Commercial Banking Co which I think was taken over during formation of Bank of Mona by City of Glasgow bank.
