William Cottier was born about 1807, and died April 6, 1865, age 58. He married Elizabeth Cannell.

Elizabeth Cannell immigrated in the 1830's.

William and Elizabeth Cottier lived in Warrensville.

Children of Elizabeth Cannell and William Cottier: born in Ohio

i. Jane Cottier was born about 1846, and died November 29, 1913, age 82y 8m 19 d. Jane Cottier married, February 21, 1877, James R. Kissack. He was born in 1848, and died in Warrensville, April 18, 1913. Buried Woodland Cemetery.

ii. Margaret Cottier was born about 1847, and died May 18, 1919. Sister of Mrs. James R. Kissack, Elizabeth Cottier and the late Edward Cottier.

iii. Edward Cottier was born about 1849. He died, in his 60th years, June 19, 1909, at the home of his sisters Elizabeth and Margaret Cottier.

iv. Elizabeth Cottier was born about 1852, and died February 14, 1920. Sister of Mrs. James R. Kissack and the late Margaret and Edward.

v. Emily Cottier was born about 1855.

John Cowle was born March 17, 1792, and died December 8, 1860. He married, perhaps at KK Michael, January 20, 1827, Elizabeth Cowley, daughter of Richard and Margaret (Kneale) Cowley, baptized at KK Michael, April 17, 1801. She was born April 11, 1801, and died October 5, 1861.

Elizabeth Cowley emigrated about 1827, and settled in Warrensville.

+ i. Richard Cowle was born about 1827, and died November 2, 1906, age 79. He married Fanny Wilcox.

ii. Margaret E. Cowle was born April 11, 1829, and died August 21, 1913. She married, April 7, 1862, Giles Ball. Giles died September 19, 1896, age 68. He is buried at Woodland Cemetery.

iii. John R. Cowle was born April 7, 1831.

iv. Mary A. Cowle was born May 23, 1833.

v. Charlotte M. Cowle was born September 7, 1836, and died December 7, 1889.

vi. Eliza Cowle was born January 21, 1839.

vii. William H. Cowle was born June 1, 1841.

viii. Angeline Cowle was born January 23, 1844, and died June 26, 1891. She married, George LaFayette Silsby. George Silsby died December 19, 1916, age 79. Buried Lakeview Cemetery.

+ ix. Rufus David Cowle was born August 24, 1845, and died in 1912. He married Clarissa Opa Silsby. She was born in 1845 and died in 1912.

Richard Cowle (John Cowle-Elizabeth Cowley) was born about 1827, and died November 2, 1906, age 79. He married, January 26, 1870, Fanny Wilcox. Fanny was born about 1833. Richard and Fanny Cowle lived in Warrensville.

Children of Fanny Wilcox and Richard Cowle: born in Ohio

i. William W. Cowle was born about 1872. William W. Cowle died November 1, 1939. Interred Knollwood Mausoleum.

ii. Mary M. Cowle was born about 1876, and died May 10, 1937 (date of obit). "Mary M. Sayle, nee Cowle, wife of John E. Cowle, sister of William Cowle. Buried Knollwood Mausoleum." She married John Sayle.

Rufus David Cowle (John Cowle-Elizabeth Cowley) was born August 24, 1845, and died July 18, 1912, at his residence on Center rd, Idlewood, Ohio. He is buried Beachwood Cemetery. He married, December 3, 1873, Clarissa Opa Silsby. Opa died March 28, 1904, at her residence in Warrensville.

Opa and Rufus Cowle lived in Warrensville.

Children of Clarissa Opa Silsby and Rufus D. Cowle:

i. Julie Cowle was born about 1876.

ii. John R. Cowle was born about 1878. Rufus J. Cowle married Lillie Corlett.

Hugh Cowley

Hugh Cowley was born about 1814. He married, at Jurby, February 13, 1836, Jane Kelly. (tcd has Jane Kinrade) She was born about 1817. Hugh and Jane Cowley immigrated between 1847 and 1850. They lived first in Warrensville, but later in Orange Township.

1860 Orange Township census #428: Hugh Cowley 46 laborer IOM; Jane 48 IOM; Ann 22 IOM; Thomas 15 farmer IOM; Ellen 12 Ohio; Catherine 9 Ohio; Eliza 8 Ohio.

Children of Jane Kelly and Hugh Cowley: First four baptized at Andreas (Information from http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~soden/sharilyngilbert/pafg03.htm)

i. William Cowley was baptized June 5, 1836.

ii. Ann Cowley was baptized July 19, 1838, and died at her home near Robinson, Kansas, June 17, 1925. She married, December 1, 1862, in Cleveland, Mark Soden, son of John and Hannah (Bellfield) Soden. He was born 28 September 1832 in England, died in Robinson, Kansas, 15 February. They had 6 children, Burritt, Ellen J., John, George Hugh, Hattie R. and William M.

iii. Jane Cowley was baptized April 25, 1841.

iv. Thomas Cowley was born about 1844. He married, June 8, 1882, at the residence of the officiating minister, Rev. J. P. Black, Sarah Elliman, of Portage County, Ohio.

v. Ellen Cowley was baptized November 21, 1847, "daughter of Hugh Cowley and Jane Gill (sic)".

vi. Catherine Cowley was born about 1851.

vii. Eliza Cowley was born about 1852.
