English Poor Law did not apply to Isle of man (not being part of England!) - a brief history is at www.manxnotebook.com/history/poor/history.htm - I'm not sure where the records will be, the later one will certainly be with Dept of Social security but the pre 1900 may now be at the Manx Museum.
