Re: pending visit/Cain genealogy

We believe that the Thomas Cain who emigrated to Woodhull, Illinois from IOM was the son of Thomas Caine, born circa 1813 in Patrick parish, a farmer of 34 acres employing 1 laborer and having one 17 year old unmarried servant named Elizabeth Quilliam. Thomas' mother would be Eliza Patty, born circa 1823 in County Down, Ireland. Among siblings would be Eliza Mary, christened 9/13/1846 at Patrick, IOM, and Mary Jane, christened 12/8/1850 at St. Mark's, died 3/30/1853. Thomas and Eliza were married Sept. 3, 1844 in German, IOM.

Looking forward to our visit. We leave Sunday, Sept. 21 to London/Edinburgh on the front end of our trip. And we have now arranged for a guide.
