The bit of the Manx Notebook on Marriage Laws & Customs only indicates that marriage by licence was possible. The question remains: are there any records in Man, other than the entries in the parish registers which Bishop Wilson required, of such licences and of the information which presumably had to be provided in order to obtain a licence, and if so where are they kept?
