no Hardinge in 1881 census though possibly there as Harding, most appear to be Irish ; James Harding ran a pub in Douglas - two or three Hardinges occur in the 1918 roll of honour - use my search page to find them; a Mrs Harding ran a lodging house in Woodburn sq in 1898
