Looking for an Ohio person to check something for me.
In 1826 the Aurelia/Amelia arrived N.Y. 14th June 1826. A passenger on the ship was John Gawne (fisherman - 34 yrs old) and his wife Ann 30 yrs old.
They had a son John, age 9 and 2 others -Eliza 7 and Daniel 4.
Apparently this is recorded in a Booklet put out by the Greater Ohio Manx Society called "History of Manx People Who Came to America".
I have been searching for my John Gawne for 2 years and feel he probably went to the States.
If anyone has this book could you give me some info. on the Gawnes, Radcliffes or Moores.
