Thanks for that Donna. It was the earlier dates that I thought would create a problem. I am seeking to confirm or disconfirm the parents of John Tate who married Elinor Shimmin 1st November 1845 at Marown. I thought that they were William Tate and Ann Sayle. However Kate Kelly has thrown some doubt on that and we are both anxious to find out which of our John Tates is related to this couple. The more comprehensive marriage certificate would also have helped with finding origins for the first Godfrey Tate mentioned on IGI.
