I have just found what I think are my great great grandparents
William Bridson born arround 1839 married Eleanor/Ellen Marshall
Children: Robert Bridson born around 1865

James Bridson born around 1866

EleanorBridson born around 1868

John Marshall Bridson born around 1871

The children were all Christened at St Barnabus Church Douglas. William and Eleanor were married at Braddan
They lived at 24, Bigwell St, Onchan when the 1881 census was taken
William was a roper by trade and his son Robert was a Stone Mason
James was my great grandfather

Any connection to your William born 1839?

Don't know where mine was born for sure, I presumed through the Census from the IGI folk that it was the IOM but that dcould be wrong
