Re: CASHIN family of Peel
In Response To: Re: CASHIN family of Peel ()

I'm very interested to see that you know of a Cashin still living in Peel. My gt gt gr'father was Thomas C, born in 1833/4 who married Jane Cain, then Elizabeth Kelly (widowed, but I think she was Jane's sister, because the father in each case was John Cain), and finally Ellen Walkington, the mother of his illegitimate daughter, my gt gr'mother, Kezia Cashin.

His other children were William (b 1860), Thomas, (b 1864, Caesar (b 1866)and James (b 1869).

Thomas's father was also a Thomas, b 1804 who married Mary Killey in 1831 and had many children, including some of the names mentioned in other e-mails, e.g. William, Jane and Margaret.

I haven't yet managed to find out about previous generations, but if any of this rings a bell with any of the other Cashin descendants, I'd love to hear from you.
