Have you had any data on the migration of the Kermodes to American. I find my James (gggrandfather) in Buffalo, Erie County, New York and my information says that he was born there in 1843. I can not prove this but it doesn't make sense of a birth in New York without parents being there also. One explenation is that he came over for work on the Erie canal project. Do you have or have you heard anything about Kermode's going to America for the Erie Canal work project?

I will share my data in hard copy (I have about 70-100 Kermode names).
