You obviously have a right to be sore when your research is pinched by some other individual and then republished as that individual's own work.

The SOG mailing list has discussed the question quite recently. A lot of other researchers have expressed similar anger. Each of us has a duty to acknowledge the source of any material we use and be grateful for the shortcuts that have been made available to us.
