I contacted the said Captain and was informed that as I suspected (having done similar research myself) that NO passenger lists exist until quite late in 19th C for Cunard liners
any US bound vessel had to deposit a list at the port of entry - these would appear (at least in 1820's) to have been drawn up in Liverpool on departure as a few births on board are not noted
