The 1901 census had a surprise for me when I checked on my G. Grandmother. Living with her is an adopted son named Percy Kelly, four years old. No one in the family knows anything about this child. On Frances Coakley's web site there is a World War I Honour Roll which contains the name of Percy Kelly a Private with the King's Liverpool Regiment. How can I find out if this may be the same individual? Also are there records of adoptions that can be checked? Any help would be appreciated.
