I have just completed a brief biographical sketch of my maternal grandfather, John (Jack) Kerruish Kneen, 1870 to 1917. He was born in the IOM, went to sea at the age of 14, and settled in Auckland, NZ in 1900, where he died prematurely in 1917. I know the lineage on his father's side, thanks to Brian Kneen; and the lineage on his mother's side, thanks to Clive Callow. And I have learned a good deal about his years in NZ. I would like very much to discover more about his years at sea, if anyone has such information.
