Could you tell me if I could access the UK Birth indices on fiche from the FHL in Peel? I will be on the island from Sunday 4th May to Friday 10th May.
I have had searches done for my Aunts birth in 1919 in Torpoint, Cornwall also Stoke Damerel, Devon back to 1915 and it has not been found.
Her elderly living brother and sister assure me that this was when she was born.
She was two years older than my Uncle ( now in Home for Elderly )he was born in 1921, Torpoint, CON.
Obviously, I could keep paying for these searches at £4.00 per time but am a little reluctant, though very grateful, to firm that I use for these purposes.
I would very much appreciate any advise you may give me.
