I am just starting to research my father's family history. My father was born 04/25/28 in the Isle of Man. He resided in Douglas till 1935. His father was Frederick Edward Luft, he managed a pork butcher's shop on Buck Row. They moved in 1935 to Bray Hill. Then my father was sent to a farm in St John's on the Isle of Man.

Apparently my great great grandfather was the owner of the Castle Mona?
