Re: IOM Look up exchange
In Response To: Re: IOM Look up exchange ()

Some fifteen or more years ago. I somehow came across the death notice of an F.PRICE, said to have died 1n the year 1906. No age was given, only the following address;- 64, Julian Road, Glen Park, Douglas.I.O.M. I have tried to obtain a death Certificate and have been advised there is no record, I have also been in contact with the I.O.M. Public Record Office. hoping to have acquired some mention of the occupants/owners of the property just prior, during and for the years 1907-1908. Again drew a blank. It would be sincerely appreciated if someone can explain how I was able to have noted down details of a deceased person, without any trace of record. I believe, I obtained the details from a file of some sort, whilst searching for the name Francis R. PRICE, a retired Chartered Accountant of Liverpool, late of Chester,in 1885.where his business was taken over by his son, Henry, who died in Chester, 16 August, 1905. aged 43,years. According to professional information, I have been told that F.PRICE, was from the I.O.M.
