I have collected alot of information on the Hudgens and Hudgins of Buckingham and Cumberland Co. VA. I still remain unconvince that the James Hudgens that moved to Tennessee is the same James Hudgens who died in Cumberland Co., VA and who many same is the lineage for the Tennessee Hudgens. It may have been his son James who moved to Tennessee. There was a James Hudgens in Augusta Co, VA ca. 1780s and he may be the James that moved to Tennessee.
