I am a great great grandson of Thomas Fargher b. 9th May 1831, Malew, d. 2nd May 1913 and buried at St. Paul's Foxdale 8th May 1913 and also Jane Quayle d. 2nd April 1907. I believe Thomas was the son of a William Fargher and Jane Gale.
I have been shown the tombstone of your Thomas Fargher b. 1720 and told he was one of my relatives. I cannot yet make the connection between the two Thomas's.
The tombstone I have seen reads:
"To the memory of Thomas Fargher of Shen Valley. Esq. Trustee St. Mark's Chapel. Interred here the 20th day of November 1781 aged 62 years. In his public and private character exemplary at most aimiable husband, parent, master and friend. Time rightly improving the greatest sense. All other cares are so much lost expense. And also Mrs. Elizabeth Fargher, wife of the above Thomas Fargher who died 24th January 1806, aged 88."
Do we have a connection ? I would appreciate any information you may have.
