Thanks for this info. Since posting my message on the IOM Board I have tried an American Board, I found on the Internet, and a lady called Ann Alder from the States contacted me. Her husband is the GG grandson of John Thomas Caine. There is a full Ancesteral & Pedigree chart for "John Thomas" on the IGI. He married in St Louis in 1850, had 13 children, was a Mormon edler and a member of the House of Representatives for the state of Utah. She is busy checking all the stuff she has to see if I can make a connection with the Quirk side. His grandmother, Elinor Quirk, was sister to John Quirk, father of the Richard Quirk (Publican) I am interested in. Seems John T Caine did a lot of reasearch on his family butits more on the Caine side than the Quirks. He obviously "deposited" this with his church. Hope this may assist anyone else "looking" for him. Thanks again.
