That article was a reprint from Cleveland Herald and thus can be quoted (though good manners are to reference who originally brought it to public attention) - as it is in Cubbon's Bibliography I suspect that Roger actually saw it first in the Manx Museum and thought it would interest other readers - you might like to read my site on the Ohio connection where I have transcribed etc most of the publicly available material as well as 1849 descriptions of the counties in which the Manx settled. I dont recall the Qualtrough name, for some reason I always link that name with South of the Island whereas most of the early Ohio settlers were Northside - there is still much research to be done re migration patterns but from the bit I've done many southsiders went their own way rather than joined in a group migration.

The IOMFHS do not yet have a web presence though a couple of members of the committee are now active online - you can always address letters to then via the FHS Library, above Shoprite, Michael St, PEEL
